The new Grit MTB rim uses the same 3D wound rim construction and T800 carbon as our road wheels which reduces the weight significantly.

The rim is 28mm deep x 30mm wide x 25mm internal with a shallow hookless bead. The bead width is double the industry standard at 5mm, with a rounded, “soft” profile that has proven to be extremely effective at preventing pinch flats and sidewall cuts at aggressively low pressures in even the lightest single ply race tires.

The rims have in-molded spoke holes, not drilled, which increases strength. The rounded sidewall and square aspect ratio is designed to allow flex from the spoke bed up, while the build tension from spokes to hub delivery excellent stiffness. The result is a dependable, soft riding, stiff, very light (380gr) rim meant to win hard races. We believe that the Grit is the best MTB endurance wheelset on the market, at any price.

The Grit is built 28H 3 cross front and rear using Sapim CX Ray spokes in standard build. We can customize with a stiffer spoke upon request.

All wheels come tubeless taped with premium alloy valve stems installed, ready for you to mount tubeless tires. Valve stems will be color matched to nipple color where applicable. Quick release wheels will be provided with NEXT steel rod skewers for added security with disc brakes. Through axles are not provided with wheels as they are part of the bike frame system.

All you'll ever need!

I've been riding these wheels on my XC race bike for two seasons now and have been throughly impressed. I've ridden these wheels HARD in every condition from Pisgah's wheel-cracking descents to the fireroad XC climbs out West. They're light enough to podium at UCI XC events and tough enough to handle my less than perfect line choices. Would and have recommended to friends.

Next Grit, bling and performance for the masses

I love my Grits. I do not believe any other company comes close to the quality of these wheels for the pricepoint. Amazing ride quality, Sapim CX-ray spokes, lifetime replacement, choose your hub! ...and mine came in lighter then advertised.

Awesome Wheels

Great wheels, light and snappy, no complaints. Have been riding them on a Pivot 429 for a year and am about to put them on a Pivot Mach 4 SL.
